Dinner Rolls (a la Annette Allan)
6 c. white flour
2 Tbsp. yeast dissolved in ½ c. warm (not hot) water
2 C. warm milk
1 cube butter, melted
3 eggs, beaten
1 TBSP. salt
¾ c. sugar
Mix sugar and eggs in bowl.
Slowly stir in milk and melted butter, making sure the milk isn’t too hot or it will cook the eggs. Gross!
Once yeast has foamed in water, add to sugar and milk mixture.
Add flour one cup at a time and knead until thoroughly mixed (dough will be sticky).
Let raise to double in size. Cut into small balls and let rise again.
Bake @ 400 * 12-14 minutes until slightly browned.
