Red Riiiiice
2 8oz. cans tomato sauce
½ c. water
½ c. finely chopped onion
½ c. diced red pepper
½ c. butter (one cube)
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Sugar
½ tsp. Prepared dry mustard (optional)
¼ tsp. Black pepper
1 ½ c. Minute Rice
Combine all ingredients EXCEPT THE RICE in a saucepan. Cover and bring to a boil. Stir in rice. Remove from heat. Cover and let stand for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork.
Makes 3 ½ cups or 4 servings.
